Saturday is turning into a busy day in the Butler household, and this Saturday was no exception, even after a busy week, where Nanny came to stay (more of that later) and a visit to for Poppy to see a lovely Dr about her arm.

This Saturday started with a session at the gym for Jo, while Poppy and myself headed to Southampton for a swim, and Poppy had a new swimming costume to show off.
Very patriotic i think you will agree!

After our swim, it has now become tradition for a visit to Starbucks where Poppy has a cheese and marmite panini and a gold (chocolate) coin, and juice!

The swim usually saps most of Poppy's energy, so a little doze in the car back was in order before we got home.

This afternoon i have continued by sessions in the cooking - with the first creation being Rolo biscuits
Secondly, was this evenings meal which was, for Poppy Fish Finger Tacos and for us, Smoky Pork & Black Bean Tacos!
Seeing as food has become a little theme of this blog entry, two further food related photos. The first is one of Poppy with Nanny when they went to Tescos on Thursday morning. They had gone for a cup of tea and maybe a biscuit. However, Poppy spotted the cooked breakfast when she arrived and persuaded Nanny it would be a good idea to have it! And she did not disappoint, the plate was polished off! Daughter like father i have been told!
And lastly, Friday nights dinner. Another one of my attempts at cooking, this time Courgette Griddle Cakes with rice.
Thats it .... Saturday done!
