Believe it or not, 3yrs ago today, young Poppy Alice Butler decided to join us, 4 weeks early, as she was due to join us on the 4th July, however she decided to join us early! To be precise at 15:26hrs on the 6th June 2008!
And so to Poppy's 3rd birthday that is panning out into a month of celebrations which started yesterday with a visit from the Swindon gang and a horse riding lesson for Poppy. We had aimed for a BBQ but because of the weather we ended up at the Harvester and had a nice meal. We are pretty sure that Poppy enjoyed her day as when she went to bed she was asleep in 5mins - thats unheard of at the weekend for Poppy!
Poppy also opened most of her presents yesterday as she had a day at pre-school today.
Certainly the card of the birthday has come from uncle Nik and aunty Caoihme - Poppy has shown her musical card to everybody that has visited! She was also spoiled with a Mambo t-shirt from Australia - a classic design, one that i recall uncle Nik loved, and would not stop wearing despite it falling apart - photos to follow!
As previously reported, Poppy has moved out of the house and now lives at 50a Devonshire Gardens - although not carpeted yet, her lounge chair arrived in the form of a present from aunty Ness - and so, let us present the first shots of Poppy at home!
