No, the title of this blog has nothing to do with washing habits or anything similar .. it does refer to our recent trip to the Somerset city of Bath!
Jo had a voucher for Christmas, for a night in a hotel, somewhere in the country and we decided to explore somewhere we had not been before, and tag another day onto that and make a weekend of it. So having dropped Poppy off with Nanny we headed south to Somerset.
Our first evening's accommodation was just outside Bath so after doing battle with the bank holiday traffic on the M4 and finding our hotel we headed into the centre of Bath for our evening entertainment! Jo had booked an evening of burlesque for us to watch!! It even included food!
And it was a really good evening. For those of you not sure what burlesque is, well, it is described on the internet as 'provocative performance art' - basically nipple tassels and laughter!
Saturday saw us explore Bath, and we did the full tourist thing, going to the Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent, the Pulteney Bridge and of course the Apple Store!
Having had a very good day in Bath, we headed out of town and stayed in a hotel about 30mins outside Bath. Sunday saw us head back to Berkshire to get Poppy, but not before one more stop, which was just outside Devizes, to see the Caen Hill Locks.
