Last night of the proms

Last Saturday evening was our traditional yearly trip to see the 'Last Night of the Proms'.  For the last two years we have gone to the Broadlands estate, the home of Lord Mountbatten, as our previous 'regular' location have stopped putting on the event due to the current economic climate!

As in previous years we have been extremely lucky with the weather, following a night and day of rain showers we went prepared for the worse, umbrellas, coats, wellies and a change of clothes for Poppy, however apart from the wellies we did not need anything, as we arrived a few spots of rain turned into blue skies!  What we did have to contend with was the damp .. by the end of the evening everything had a damp dew over it.  However, no rain which was the main thing.

We had a nice evening, good food, a good show and Poppy was on good form.  She did doze off before the fireworks arrived, and this year she did wake up while they were going off .. and although she was a little unsure, in general she was very good.

For those that cant remember, this is our blog entry from last year's visit.
