Day 2 Magical Mystery Tour!

Day 2 of our little road trip started in Liverpool where we decided on a Magical Mystery Tour, which for those not in the know meant we went back to the 60s and visited as many of the places we could that are connected with The Beatles.

First stop was the Cavern Club where The Beatles started out and were discovered.

Following that we spent a good few hours in the Beatles story museum which was really interesting. Poppy did find the 4D theatre a little strange but she was really good and was at a number of points dancing to the music.

Following lunch it's was time to head to our next destination but there was a few Beatles related stops before hitting the motorway. The first was the childhood home of Paul McCartney's, 20 Forthlin Road

Following that it was onto John Lennon's childhood home

And lastly it was a stop at Strawberry Fields, which is a set of gates that once led to a Salvation Childrens Home, but now lead to nowhere.

And that was it, we did miss seeing Eleanor Rigby but that can be for next time!

The motorway beckoned and our next destination.
