.... Planet Hollywood!
Many a year ago i made a trip to London and stood in a London street for 6 hours to see the opening of Planet Hollywood, the restaurant chain started by Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. I even videoed the whole event, and the wobbles and shakes make it almost un-viewable but i still have the recording!!
Then, as teenagers, its was a birthday treat with mum and dad to visits London and have dinner at PH, we had to queue up outside and wait when we actually got in, but we did not care as all the movie memorabilia was on the walls of the restaurant!
So, it was a very sad moment to walk past the location of PH yesterday to find it has closed. Not only closed but taken over by a tourist tack shop, selling cheap London goodies!!
A sad day ........ !
PS - Having just looked on the web, one website reports that PH is only closed for refurbishment from the 10th Jan 2009 .. we will see!
